Visit Tucson focuses on bringing tourism and meetings to Tucson. The summer can be a tough time for tourism with the heat of the desert in full swing. The 2010 summer campaign focuses mainly on the Phoenix market and surrounding areas, including Tucson. It centers around a family of four that experiences Tucson throughout the summer as they blog about their fun. The imagery is of the Tucson Trekkers and their adventures around Tucson doing cool things to beat the heat. The family friendly feel is created through the use of color and a fun photography style (by Jackie Alpers) that feels like authentic family moments on vacation. The direct mail piece features a sticker of family fun photos that doubles as the seal. Inside, it has coupons for some of the (literally) cool things there are to do and see in Tucson. For this campaign I provided design for print ads, direct mail, eblasts, online advertising and billboards that create a cohesive family fun theme for the summer.
